A monitoring inspection was conducted on January 24, 2024 from 11:40 A.M.-2:00 P.M. There were 59 children present, ranging in ages from eight months to five years of age, with 12 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records and five staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-A Description: Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that all areas shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.
Evidence:
1. In the restroom between the one year old classroom and the two year old classroom the molding is missing in several areas. The tiles in the restroom are discolored and dirty.
2. Throughout the center the floors and tiles were dirty and had debris stuck to them.Plan of Correction: The floors will be buffed and waxed 2/3/24 & 2/10/24. The molding in the bathroom will be replace 2/6/24
