Comments:

An unannounced, monitoring inspection was conducted on August 1, 2019 from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm at Jewish Family Services located at 6718 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23226. The agency reports 24 families approved and waiting for placement, and 6 families receiving post placement supervision services. The Chief Operating Officer and the Adoption Supervisor were available for the inspection and present for the exit interview at the end of the inspection. During this inspection, four adoptive home records were reviewed. Also reviewed were the background checks for two adoptive home files, approved since date of last inspection. No personnel records were reviewed as no new personnel have been hired since the date of the last inspection. Standards in Part II Organization and Administration and in Part IV Program Statement were reviewed with the Adoption Supervisor. There were no citations for violations of the Standards for Child Placing Agencies.
