Technical Assistance:

22VAC40-131-340-F.1: The child?s record shall contain documentation showing the involvement of the birth parents in the development of the child?s individualized service plan and quarterly reports unless parental rights have been terminated or unless the birth parents who maintain parental rights of the child have not been located.

Comments:

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 09/04/2021 and concluded on 09/09/2021. The Program Director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. The Program Director reported that the current census was (3) three active foster child placements, (8) eight active foster home providers and (1) one newly hired staff since the last inspection. The Inspector emailed the Program Director a list of items required to complete the remote documentation review portion of the inspection. The Inspector reviewed (1) one complete foster child record, (1) one foster home provider record, and (1) one employee record. An exit interview was conducted with agency representatives on the date of inspection, where findings were reviewed and an opportunity was given for questions, as well as for providing any information or documentation which was not available during the inspection. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
