Comments:

An unannounced renewal inspection was completed on August 21, 2019 from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm and on August 22, 2019 from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm at Northern Virginia Family Service located at 10455 White Granite Drive, suite 100, Oakton, Virginia 22124. Currently, there are 38 approved provider homes and 29 children receiving foster care services. During this inspection, six foster home records and three children's records were reviewed. 9 personnel records were also reviewed. In compliance with licensing requirements for a renewal application, all documentation for corporate board officers and agents of the corporation were reviewed, including required background checks. There were no citations for violations of the Standards for Child Placing Agencies. The Child Placement Services Director was available for the inspection and present for the exit interview at the end of the second day. An Acknowledgement of Inspection Form was signed by the Child Placement Services Director on the second day.
