Technical Assistance:

22VAC40-131-330.G.4-Technical Assistance provided regarding the documentation of private interviews with children. The licensee is increasing clarification in documentation of private interviews by adding additional documentation prompts on progress notes-?private session? sections has been added to progress notes.

Comments:

A monitoring inspection was initiated on November 15, 2021 and concluded on November 19, 2021. The Program Director was contacted by telephone and email to initiate the inspection. The Program Director reported the current census was twenty-seven (27) active child/youth placements, twenty-two (22) active provider homes and one (1) newly hired staff since the last inspection. The Inspector emailed the Program Director a list of items required to complete the remote documentation review portion of the inspection. The inspector reviewed two (2) active child/youth placement records, three (3) complete provider home records and two (2) personnel records. The Inspector reviewed applicable updated policies and procedures as well as staffing information. An exit interview was conducted with agency representatives on the date of the inspection, where findings were reviewed and an opportunity was given for questions, as well as for providing any information or documentation which was not available during the inspection. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
