Technical Assistance:

Regarding Standard 22VAC40-131-250.G.1-3 & Standard 22VAC40-131-260.C, technical assistance was provided and recommendations made regarding the forms used for compliance in this area.

Comments:

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted at The Bair Foundation, Richmond location on August 8, 2019 from 9:15 am to 4:00 p.m. and on August 9, 2019 from 8:30 am to 1:15 p.m. The Bair Foundation continues to provide foster care, short-term foster care and treatment foster care services. The agency reports a total of twenty-seven children in care and twenty-four approved foster homes. During the inspection, the following activities transpired: 1. Nine foster home records were reviewed. 2. Four foster child records were reviewed. 3. Three staff records were reviewed. 4. Policy and Procedures were reviewed. 5. A physical plant inspection of the record keeping area as well as meeting space was conducted. 6. Interviews with agency representatives were conducted. There were no citations for violation of the Standards for Child Placing Agencies. An exit meeting was conducted with agency representatives on August 9, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. to discuss the inspection findings.
