Comments:

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on January 05, 2022 to January 07, 2022 for the Chester location. This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol necessary due to health and safety risk. The licensee reports a total of twenty-two (22) foster children in care at this location. The licensee reports a total of thirty-two (32) active foster homes for this location. There was one (1) new staff hired since the last inspection. The following is a list of activities for this inspection: 1.Three (3) foster child files reviewed 2.Three (3) complete foster home records reviewed 3.Two (2) additional foster home records reviewed (1-background checks only; 2-re-evaluation standards only) 4.One (1) staff records reviewed. Staff were available for the exit interview which commenced at approximately 2:00 p. m. on January 07, 2022. There were no citations for violation of Standards for Licensed Child-Placing Agencies. Results of the inspection are subject to public disclosure and will be posted on the Virginia Department of Social Services public web site within five business days.
