22VAC40-131-180.I: The licensee is encouraged to review as well as make any applicable updates to the current language used on the licensee?s ?Authorization for Release of Information? form authorizing the previous child-placing agency to release information to the licensee about previous applications.

Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A renewal inspection was initiated on October 22, 2020 and concluded on October 29, 2020. The Co-Executive Director by telephone to initiate the inspection. The agency reported 24 children in care and 40 approved foster provider homes. The agency reports no new staff since the last inspection. The inspector emailed the Co-Executive Director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed 3 complete child records, 4 complete foster home provider records, 10 additional provider home records (background checks only) and 2 employee records submitted by the agency to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection did not determine any non-compliance with applicable standards or law. Results of the inspection are subject to public disclosure and will be posted on the Virginia Department of Social Services public website within five business days, regardless of whether or not the Plan of Correction is completed.
