A focused non-mandated monitoring inspection was conducted on 9/20/2022 from approximately 10:20 am to 3:10 pm at the office of Presbyterian Homes and Family Services operating as HumanKind located in Lynchburg to determine compliance with plans of correction submitted.
The agency reported 32 children in care and 22 approved provider homes. The program director and acting program manager were available throughout the inspection to answer questions.
An entrance meeting was conducted with the program director and acting program manager. The exit meeting was conducted on 9/20/2022 with the program director, acting program manager and the Family and File Specialist. The Acknowledgement of Inspection form was signed and left at the facility.
The inspector reviewed documentation for 4 children placed, training for the 22 approved provider homes and background checks for one approved provider home. Two staff records were reviewed and two employees were interviewed during the inspection. The agency?s updated medication management and caseworker training was reviewed.
The evidence gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standard(s) or law. The inspection summary will be posted to the VDSS website within five (5) business days of your receipt of the inspection summary.
