Comments:

A complaint was received on 4/15/2020 alleging the licensee violated 22VAC40-131-90.D of the Standards for Licensed Child Placing Agencies. The standard addresses the agency's policies and procedures for ensuring children are not subjected to abuse or mistreatment and responding to allegations. A complaint inspection was conducted by phone and desk review due to travel restrictions during the COVID 19 pandemic. One (1) foster child and one (1) foster home record were reviewed. The inspection was conducted on 4/21/2020 from 9:10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The exit interview was conducted on 4/22/2020 at 2:00 p.m. The complainant, Foster Care Supervisor, and Caseworker were interviewed. The Director of Foster Care and Independent Living participated in the entrance conference, remained available during the inspection, and participated in the exit interview. An Acknowledgment of Inspection was not completed as the inspection was conducted remotely. The information gathered during the investigation does not support the allegation so the complaint is determined to be ?not valid.?
