Technical Assistance:

Discussion occurred regarding provider applicants' statements of the age and gender of children they wish to serve compared to what is documented on the Certificate of Approval. Where the information is different, the agency should provide clearer detail in the home study about how the decision was made to approve the provider to serve a different age range or gender of children.

Comments:

An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed on 9/12/2019 from 9:50 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The licensee reports 16 children in foster care and 22 approved provider homes. There were no new hires since the last inspection. During this inspection two foster child and three foster home records were reviewed. The Director of Foster Care and Independent Living and Administrative Assistant participated in the entrance conference and remained available during the inspection. And exit interview was conducted from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with the Director of Foster Care and Independent Living and Foster Care Supervisor. An Acknowledgement of Inspection form was signed and left with the licensee at the end of the inspection. There were no citations for violations of the Standards for Child-Placing Agencies.
