Technical Assistance:

Technical Assistance was provided regarding standard 22VAC40-131-290.G, arrangements for the child to receive necessary medical, dental, mental health, psychological and psychiatric care and treatment resulting from injuries, illness, emergencies or other conditions that occur in between examinations or appointments.

Comments:

As a result of a self-report, an unannounced focused inspection was conducted on December 05, 2019 from 8:45 am to 4:30 pm and December 06, 2019 from 8:30 am to 2:45 pm at The Bair Foundation of Virginia located in Virginia Beach. During this inspection, 2 foster home records and 1 foster child record was reviewed. One agency representative was interviewed during this inspection. The agency's policies and procedures were reviewed. An exit meeting was conducted with agency representatives on December 06, 2019 at 1:15 pm. An acknowledgment form was signed and left at this location. There were no citations for violations of the Standards for Child Placing Agencies. Results of the inspection are subject to public disclosure and will be posted on the VDSS web site within five (5) days.
