Technical Assistance:

Technical assistance provided regarding standard 22VAC340.F.1, parental involvement was documented however, agency representatives acknowledged that the wording of parental involvement requires clarification. Technical assistance provided regarding standard 22VAC330.G.3, Clinical Specialist Narratives and Case Notes documenting guidance, trainings and supports. Additional documentation should be added to strengthen evidence of compliance on each contact.

Comments:

A monitoring inspection was initiated on July 30, 2021 and concluded on August 2, 2021. The Program Director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. The Program Director reported that the current census was 14 foster children and 10 foster home providers. There was 1 newly hired staff since the last inspection. The inspector emailed the Program Director a list of items required to complete the remote documentation review portion of the inspection. The inspector reviewed 1 staff record. The inspector reviewed 2 foster child records, 1 complete foster home provider records and 1 additional foster home record (background checks only) submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. An exit interview was conducted with agency representatives on August 2, 2021, where findings were reviewed and an opportunity was given for questions, as well as for providing any information or documentation which was not available during the inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or laws. No violations were issued.
