Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A complaint inspection was initiated on September 28, 2020 as a result of a complaint involving the discharge of a child in foster care. The inspection was concluded on January 11, 2021. The Executive Director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. The licensing inspector requested access to electronic records in order to conduct the remote inspection. The inspector conducted interviews, reviewed the record for the child in foster care placement, reviewed foster parents' records, emails, and policies and procedures. Exit meeting was held by phone with the Executive Director on January 11, 2021. The evidence gathered did not support the allegation of non-compliance with standards or law. The licensee has five business days from receipt of the inspection documentation to sign each page of the documentation and return it to the Licensing Office. The licensee should retain a copy to be posted at the facility. Please do not post the Supplemental form.
