Technical Assistance:

Technical assistance provided related to standard 22VAC131.310.B documentation of school-age children spending allowance. Regarding standard 22VAC40-131-140, the licensee is asked to update their policies to address any new positions (i.e. "Home Study Contractor").

Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A renewal inspection was initiated on May 26, 2020 and concluded on May 29, 2020. The Therapeutic Foster Care Regional Manager was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. The agency reported 8 children in care, and 18 approved provider homes. The agency reports no new staff since the last inspection. The inspector emailed the Regional Manager a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed 2 children?s records, 2 complete provider home records, 3 additional provider home records (background and medical sections only) and 4 staff records submitted by the agency to ensure documentation was complete. Board Officers will be reviewed with the Richmond location?s inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined no non-compliances with applicable standards or law, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the agency.
