Comments:

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on February 1, 2022 to February 3, 2022 for the Newport News location. This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol necessary due to health and safety risk (office closure). The licensee reports a total of six (6) foster children in care at this location. The licensee reports a total of nine (9) active foster homes for this location. There were two (2) new staff hired since the last inspection. The following is a list of activities for this inspection: 1.Two (2) foster child files reviewed 2.Three (3) complete foster home records reviewed 3.Two (2) staff records reviewed. 4.Policy and Procedures Reviewed Staff were available for the exit interview which commenced at approximately 9:00 a. m. on February 3, 2022. There were no citations for violation of Standards for Licensed Child-Placing Agencies. Results of the inspection are subject to public disclosure and will be posted on the Virginia Department of Social Services public web site within five business days.
