Technical Assistance:

Regarding 22VAC40-151-750, maintaining medication administration record that includes all medicines received by each resident and 22VAC40-151-750.G, required actions and documentation for medication errors or adverse drug reaction, discussion occurred regarding reviewing and addressing errors in documentation.

Comments:

A mandated monitoring inspection was initiated on 5/22/2024 and concluded on 5/29/2024. The Chief Administrative Officer was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. The Chief Administrative Officer reported that the current census was three. The inspector emailed the Program Director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed two resident records, one discharged resident record, two staff records, medication records, weekly menus, monthly evacuation drills, and staff schedules as submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. One resident and two staff interviews were conducted. The inspector conducted the tour and on-site portion of the inspection on 5/29/2024 with the Licensing Administrator. One resident was present during the on-site portion of the inspection. An exit interview was conducted with Program Director on the date of inspection, where findings were reviewed and an opportunity was given for questions, as well as for providing any information or documentation which was not available during the inspection. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
